In the daily Chinese teaching, teacher finds that there is large difference between male and female students, and male students are less interested in the Chinese learning than that of the female students, as a result of which, the school record of male students is worse than that of female students. Teachers can only sense the difference from the perspective of unserious learning attitude and no hard working of male students. But the writer thinks it is necessary to investigate the detailed difference, in which aspect there is larger difference, how large the standardized Chinese test is, how to reduce the gap, and so on.The writer takes two teaching classes, which the writer teaches for a long time in the Southwest model middle school, as the study object. The class one and class three of the preliminary grade are chosen in the topic, where there are99students in total, which entered the middle school in the year of2009. The quality of the students is good and their senior high school entrance examination scores are at about the level of NO.15among all the students in Shanghai. The Chinese scores of the students in two classes from preliminary grade to third grade of junior middle school are statistically analyzed and the statistics are divided into three parts, which are the unit study test score, every school test held by school, district test and the senior high school entrance examination score of Shanghai city.The writer studied the Chinese learning of these students in four years and found that the overall Chinese score of male students was lower than that of female students. There are differences between male and female students in all Chinese test types to a certain extent, but the score of male students is higher than that of female students on extracurricular classical Chinese, which shows advantage and deserves the comfort of Chinese teachers, the writer thinks.The score gap between male and female students of preliminary grade is the biggest, reaching7.17points, while in the second grade of junior middle school, the score gap is reduced to2.74points. When in the third grade of junior middle school, the score gap becomes larger to3.82points, because of the larger total points. The writer thinks that, the reason of the score gap reduction between male and female students is related with the fact that the test involves the taught contents inside class teaching. After that, questionnaire is used to know about the Chinese learning condition of male and female students, and to find the reason why there is school record gap between male and female students in Chinese learning. In the same time, the writer adopts the strategy of elevating the confidence of male students in Chinese learning, balancing the class performance of male and female students, considering their characteristics and adjusting the learning content, in order for male students to be preferred in Chinese teaching by designing more teaching parts which male and female students are interested in, by giving more time to male students to let them participate and ponder, by letting them sense the attention from teacher, by elevating the Chinese learning interest and confidence, and by turning the learning attitude of male students, as a result of which, their Chinese level will make significant progress.In the teaching of Chinese reading and writing, the writer considers the characteristics of thinking quality of male and female students, chooses material intentionally, and makes pertinent training, as a result of which, both male and female students will make progress in Chinese learning and the effectiveness of Chinese teaching can be shown out. Students are encouraged to love studying Chinese by holding poem reading conference, establishing reading schedule card, going to reading library as much as possible, inviting the author of book and so on, no matter when it is in class or out of class. In class, the writer prepares the teaching elaborately, pays attention to open the thinking of students and holds debate, letting the thinking spark of students collide.After the analysis of examination score and practice study, the writer thinks that, teachers should treat correctly the objective difference between male and female students in Chinese learning, try their best to design the teaching procedure according to their different characteristics and strengthen separate coach in Chinese learning of male and female students, as a result of which, the reduction of score gap of Chinese learning of male and female students can be realized.
