<Essentials of Basic Education Course Reformation> encourages the studentsto study independent and make a through inquiry on their own initiative. It also triesto cultivate an ability to solve problems, cooperation and exchange. For this reason,the teachers were asked for democratic and quick-witted in daily teaching. It results inthe student’s learning to show an initiative, cooperative, groping and innovativetendency. But in fact, the class depends on teacher’s direct explanations; the studentsland themselves in a passive learning position. The writer made a survey inShijiazhuang NO.9middle school where she has been working, asked220students inJunior Grade Two about study conditions (presetting:10questions), including theability to self-examination, self-control of personal behavior, mental performance inclass, and evaluation of teacher. The result as follows:1.Most of the students lack theself-confident in their study.2. The weak ability to self-control.3. The interest isalways proportionate to academic record.4. The students need more time to make athorough inquiry and active. Therefore, as for a high school teacher, the problems intraditional teaching make the writer rethink profoundly; learn the advanced educationtheory and instructional theory to change teaching philosophy. For theabove-mentioned preparation, the writer improved the teaching method and broughtforth new ideas in class teaching model---learning-program teaching method, which issuitable for middle school in the city.The book proved that the model of instruction in class to be very important basedon the domestic and foreign literature, and examined the matter from differentangles---education, psychology, constructivism theory. According to the standard ofmath curriculum, we attempted to build up the thinking of learning-program teaching,manage to organize the learning-program teaching methods. By way of our teachingpractice for a year, we also designed the teaching process and compiled the suitablelearning program.Through the contrast of teaching practice for a school year, the writer made asurvey for the second time: asked the students in junior middle school about degree of satisfaction (post-testing:9choice questions). Compared the experimental group withmatched group, the investigation result showed that the students of experimentalgroup raised their initiatives of the study, improved the ability of expression, andstrengthened cooperative consciousness. In a word, most of the students inexperimental group made a brilliant progress in their study.
