In order to enhance the overall quality of the rhythmic gymnastics athletes, national rhythmic gymnastics team has implemented a training approach of "combination of learning and training ". However, there exists some conflicts between "learning" and "training", which, to some degree, influences the course of improving the qualification of athletes. Therefore, it is of great significance to seek an answer to the question of why these conflicts appear and how to deal with them, for both the comprehensive development of China’s national rhythmic gymnastics team and promotion of the sustainable development of China’s rhythmic gymnastics.In this paper, by studying the literature works, conducting a comprehensive questionnaire survey, interviewing, mathematical statistic and logical analysis of the status, I have studied the current condition of "learning and training contradictions" and I’m going to share with you some measures. Any kind of correction is welcomed.My results are as follows:Firstly, Our national rhythmic gymnastics athletes have recognized the importance of cultural-learning, have higher motivation for cultural learning, especially of the older athletes at the undergraduate and master stage. They desire for cultural learning is higher than the younger athletes. But the survey found that primary and secondary stages of athlete development situation of cultural learning to be better than the undergraduate and master stage.Secondly, there are a variety of reasons why the "learning and training contradictions" appears. Not only does it come from the athletes themselves, but some other factors such as the influence of the coaches, parents, teachers, and some related management department are also involved. Thirdly, the government or some related departments should do their job to constantly improve the training system, and we should strengthen mutual communication between learning and training. On the other hand, the training time should be scientifically allocated; and athletes had better to have their learning attitude and the methods of teachers’ teaching need improving. What ’s more, the coaches need to try to dig out the enthusiasm of the athletes, developing more appropriate selection and testing standards. Textbooks should be more standardized, strengthening career guidance education.
