Martial arts is the important elements of Chinese traditional culture, after thousands of years of temper, and gradually developed into a set of fitness, strong body, leisure and entertainment in a body, containing rich in the form of exercise and sports comprehensive sports.But in the secondary vocational school, martial arts teaching elective teaching content only.As countries the continuous focus on vocational education and secondary vocational school based teaching reform is imminent, and sports as a compulsory subject of basic teaching, in the course target, idea, teaching content and teaching method will happen very big change, vocational school sports workers need under the new situation, grasp the direction of reform, to explore new teaching mode, in order to better serve the vocational education professional personnel training.Secondary vocational schools of martial arts teaching has many insufficient at present, in the new\" sports and health\" course standard background, encountered unprecedented challenges the traditional teaching mode, teaching content compression, dharma stodgy, lack of teaching means, coupled with the school do not take the objective factors, such as martial arts in the survival status of secondary vocational schools in jeopardy. How to martial arts teaching and the need of talent cultivation is the combination of secondary vocational school of martial arts teaching reform under the new situation of innovation and the inevitable path. In the process of study, this article mainly USES the literature material law, investigation method and experimental method, etc., to huaian secondary vocational school wushu elective course reference to expand training mode as the research object, and implementation of teaching experiment. Finally the following conclusions:first, the development of secondary vocational school wushu elective course reference training teaching mode, can effectively enhance students’ interest in martial arts, promote students better, faster to master basic skills, martial arts.
