Characteristics Of HRV In Students With Different Level Of Anxiety Under Test Anxiety

Purpose:The purpose of this study was to discuss-the character of the HRV on the different state anxiety and trait anxiety, so to help counselor and clinical psychologists to establish prevention and intervention measures.Methods:First,30high school students who would take part in the college entrance exam were as the samples, using State-Trait Anxiety Inventory (STAI)。Second, RS800POLAR were used to explore the effect of mental arithmetic stress on heart rate, heart rate variability (HRV) among students with different anxiety during the exam.Results:1All the HRV indexes has significant difference during the different stage of the test.2The result of repeated measurements suggests significant difference between some of the HRV linear analytic target(HR、LF/HF)of different trait anxiety.3The result of repeated measurements suggests significant difference among all the HRV linear analytic target of different state anxiety.4All the HRV indexes has significant difference of all the students during the different time of the exam.Conclusions:1the analytic target is valuable in the classification of the test anxiety, test anxiety cause HR、LF、LF/HF increased and SDNN、 RMSSD、PNN50、HF decreased significantly.2Indexes LF/HF had significant difference among different individuals with different trait anxiety, there were no. significant difference in the remaining indicators.3All the HRV indexes except PNN50had significant difference among different individuals with different state anxiety. 4The character of the HRV have correlation with performance results and training and motivation, the indexes of PNN50、HF、LF/HF can distinguish different examination candidates.
