Whether college students possess belief, if they have, what it is? This question is notonly a higher education issue, but a crucial political one which involves the ideologicalbuilding of the state. Nowadays, the college students are deeply influenced by the westernculture, at the same time, the improper demonstration of social reference group and theineffectiveness of university’s ideological and political education challenge the Marxismbelief education. All of these make this question prominent and significant. This paper isdivided into three parts:Section one: theoretical interpretation of Marxism belief education for collegestudent.In this paper, analysis of the relevant concepts around Marxism belief education forcollege student will be the logic starting point. Marxism belief is one of the most essentialpossessing practical, transcendent and social cerebration which represents convince andworship for the highest value of people, political proposal, isms or religion. The essence ofbelief is the objectification of people. So, Marxism belief can be considered as a kind ofadoption, believing its theory, methodology and prediction which take Marxism as the highestvalue representation for practice on the basis of integrating the world view, outlook on lifeand values.On the basis of previous studies, this paper proposes that belief education is a designedand well organized educational activity for which the subjects of education help the objectsaccept, believe and worship some specific value system and its representation, and then takeit as the guidance for practice and the fundament of world view, outlook on life and values.Generally speaking, Belief education possesses class nature, sociability and temporality. Inthis sense, Marxism belief education is a designed and well organized educational activity forwhich the subjects of education help the objects accept, believe and worship Marxism and itsrepresentation as the guidance for practice and the fundament of world view, outlook on lifeand values in the condition of socialism. In the university, college students are the specificeducational objects. So the Marxism belief education in the university should be the valueoriented education activity which helps and guides college students learn and understand Marxism theories, believe and worship Marxism as the guidance of students’ behavior. Thispaper believes that the essence of Marxism belief education should be the ideologicaleducation.Section two: the belief formation mechanism and the law of its development.The basisof this paper depends on the belief formation mechanism and the law of its development. So,this paper starts with the uniqueness of belief formation and the characters of college studentsin the respect of psychology and socialization, and a quaternary college student beliefformation mechanism is generalized. The process of college students’ belief formation isunifying the self psychological recognition and social practice. In other words, collegestudents firstly choose to accept or reject the belief objects on the basis of necessity, and thenthe feeling of trust and worship is generated through learning and experiencing process. Nextstep, the students may produce corresponding will and behavioral tendency guiding the socialand living practice and the fixed belief attitude will be formed by practice. Specifically, thereare four steps: From spontaneous to conscious needs; psychological internalization andintegration; the influence of the environment and shaping and practice inspection andconfirmation; and further put forward the hierarchy and the developmental unifies;transcendence and reality unifies the stability and variability. On the basis of above analysis,this paper pays attention to the nature and causes of college students’ Marxism belief crisis.This paper points out that the Marxism belief is the faith crisis of college students in theprocess of practice, character and social on the ideal and the reality, the individual consensus,perceptual knowledge and rational thinking on the relationship between lack of capacity threetimely balance and mediation, reflect the belief in a confused state of.Section three: reflections on contemporary college students’ Marxism beliefeducation.On the basis of foregoing, this paper takes the path choice and concrete suggestionfor contemporary college students’ Marxism belief education as the practical guidance. Inroute choice section, the analysis is based on the theory of path to knowledge education, thepath of cultivation of education and theory of value education, content and methods of thepath, on the basis of comparative analysis, put forward should be selected based on theknowledge, the path of cultivation on the value of education as the means of education practice. In specific recommendations section, promoting Marxism belief educator’s abilityand accomplishment, the reform of Marxist belief education teaching mode and method, thesuggestion to improve the Marxist belief education environment are discussed. Among them,mainly from the change in Marxism belief in education teaching method, strengthen thelearning of Marx original Marxism college students and promotes three aspects of emotionaleducation in the teaching mode and method of reform put forward suggestions; mainly fromgiving full play to the party’s political, organizational advantage and emphasize to developtwo aspects of the role of new media by the interpretation of improving educationenvironment.This paper put forward the college students’ Marxism belief education involves manycomplicated factors. It is a systematic project, depending on the joint efforts of the many. Aslong as all the parties, under the resultant action, the level of college students’ Marxism beliefeducation can be improved and the goal of free and full development of college students canbe achieved.
