Characteristics Of Migration Population In Shandong Province And The Analysis Of Migration’s Space Distribution

According to the demographic census of China in2010, migration of populationin China reached260.9379million,175.0616million migration of population peoplemigrate in their own province, others migrate across different provinces, China hasthe biggest migration of population. With the rapid development of economic, andthe convenient traffic, people pursue better life condition, higher salary, bettereducation environment and better medical services, people are more willing tomigrate, especially between ages of20to35. Moreover, because of migration, theeastern area of China has the biggest density of population, the second is the middlearea, the third is the western area, and density of population is especially large in thearea of east coast. So, the city of Beijing and Tianjin have taken some measures toprevent those non-locals to migrate into the city.This article analysis the characteristics of migration in Shandong province,and space structure. Unlike Beijing, Shanghai and Guangdong province, Shandongprovince doesn’t have obvious characteristics of people’s migration, but Shandongprovince is a large economic entity in china, in2013, this province, together withGuangdong province and Jiangsu province, is honored of the most competitiveprovince. Also, Shandong province holds the geographic location that has both coastand inner land area, so, analysis of Shandong province is significant.We should start with learning both about the whole Province and the specificregion to get a thorough, comprehensive, accurate study. So, I make use of the fifthand the sixth census of Shandong province, ArcGIS software, Population migrationselective analysis method and the complex index way to carry out my study, in orderto observe the migration condition of Shandong province, of cities in Shandong province, and to observe the condition of immigration and emigration. This articleanalyzes the immigration and emigration condition between Shandong province andother provinces, and the immigration and emigration condition among17cities inShandong province.This article analyzes the selectivity of migration according to migrationpopulation’s personal trait, for example, the gender, age, educational level,occupation.
