Since the1930s, German philosopher Martin heidegger predicted that human is entering a"image era of the world", in the1980s, the human society has entered the era of visual culture.In this culture,studentall faced all kinds of visual information. These visual information arediverse and value, they need to use traditional text reading ability similar to "visual literacyability" to deal with these visual information. Basic education stage of the fine arts course atthe same time,"To the perception, understanding, and creation of visual image features" is theimportant carrier of cultivating the ability of students’ visual literacy.The university of Chicago w. michelle thought "visual literacy ability" is as deep as textreading, and language is often difficult to fully explain the visual experience. In the visualculture in our art education workers how to art education curriculum in middle school tocultivate students "visual literacy ability" has become a top priority of our work. In this paper,starting from the theory, combined with the actual teaching, the system explains how tocultivate the students’ art education in middle school "visual literacy ability", in this sense,this topic is full of practical significance and academic value.In this paper, the first chapter is the introduction part, starting from the era of visual culture,in-depth analysis of the era of visual culture "visual literacy ability" for contemporary middleschool students to learn the importance, based on this, advances the purpose of this study andsignificance. The second chapter gives a general overview of the "visual literacy ability",mainly including the concept of "visual literacy ability" interpretation and "visual literacyability" and the relationship between the fine arts education. The third part is analyzing thestrategies of the "visual literacy ability cultivation, from the fine arts education of" threedimensional goal "and constructivist learning strategies and methods, based on the ability ofthe feelings of visual image, aesthetic ability and the ability to interpret the dimensions oftraining strategy. The fourth part is the teaching design, through the actual classroom practice,a detailed analysis of teaching cases, find out the advantages and disadvantages. The last partis the simple summary of the author of this essay writing.
