Since the reform and opening up, our manufacturing industry has gained rapiddevelopment.However, China is deemed as also a big manufacturing nation but not astrong manufacturing one.One of the standards to measure one strong manufacturingcountry depends upon whether it has engineering talents who own the internationalcompetitiveness, The main feature of mechanical and electronic industry is mechanical andelectronic integration,and the mechanical and electronic industry plays a dominant role inthe high and new tech industry,and one of the main supporters in current social andeconomic development.The mechanical and electronic integration plays an important rolein the process of the national industrial modernization. Therefore, it is urgent to cultivatemechanical and electronic talents for the new era for the construction of industrialmodernization.However, it is negligible that the international quality ranking of ourcountry falling relatively behind, and there is still a lot of problems existing in engineeringeducation. This paper aims at researching upon the engineering talents Cultivation systemconstructed by curriculum system,teaching system,engineering culture Cultivationsystem,quality evaluation system,suitable for the mechanical and electronic industrydemands, positively exploring the effective approaches for its talents cultivation in thisindustry, targeting at such problems as “unclear positioning”,“shortage in practice”,“thetalents cultivated from colleges being not consistent with the demands fromcompanies,”,”old curriculum system”,“teachers’ lacked experience from practice”.
