Badminton has always been one of the most dominant sports in China. Chinesebadminton athletes have always been the leading ones in the world. For instance, Chinesebadminton players achieved the entire badminton gold medals during London Olympic game2012. Badminton has been selected as the third most popular sport among Chinese citizens,which is right after hiking and jogging. Due to the fact that badminton is easy and convenientto play, it is even more popular than table tennis, football, volleyball and basketball in China.According to statistics,39.9%of people who participant in exercises have played badmintonand19.2%of urban population have played it. However, in scientific field, badminton hasnot often been researched compare with sports like table tennis, football, basketball etc.Researches about development pattern of badminton for the entire population are really rare,and the few existed ones are only researched in large cities like Beijing, Shanghai,Guangzhou and some other provincial capital cities. In consider of those mentioned factors,this thesis has the purpose of analyzing the badminton matches development pattern inShangqiu. The author of this thesis aims to provide a reference for developing badminton as asport in small and medium sized cities in China, as well as the development of badmintonitself.The methods used in this thesis are literature and theory method, survey, mathematicalstatistics method, interview, case study and logical analysis etc. to analysis the amateurbadminton clubs in Shangqiu. The results of the analyze can be summarized as (1) the size ofShangqiu City, the Badminton Club uneven, with basic facilities, but still not perfect;insufficient number of sites; Hours unreasonable clubs, membership fees uneven; the clubhas organized activities to enrich Membership life, which the largest number of Olympicorganizations.(2) the number of members of Shangqiu City, the Olympic Badminton Club tothe most visible league have a positive impact on the club membership.(3) commercialactivity Shangqiu City, the Badminton Club of times with the club and the club’s popularhardware facilities were positively correlated.(4) Shangqiu City Badminton Club coachesand a small number of the overall level is not high; the number of people at the club trainingquality and quantity of coaches, the number of participants is uneven.(5) OlympicBadminton Club organized the "feather world" badminton league conducted very successful,is the largest number of club members is a key factor, but there are game system is notperfect, scientific approach to the game, no independent special The regulatory agency forloose and other issues.Based on the findings, the following recommendations for Shangqiu amateur badmintonleague mode problems:(1) The Badminton Club should improve the basic hardware facilities, to develop a reasonable business hours and fees, more organized various forms ofmembership activities to enrich the life of the club members.(2) The badminton club shouldintensify efforts to organize daily activities, increase the number of internal competition,good publicity, to expand its influence, more absorbing member.(3) The Badminton Clubshould improve the quality of basic facilities, more absorbing members hold morecommercial activities to increase club revenue.(4) The badminton club coaches should beadopted to improve treatment, recruitment of outstanding coaches, increase the number ofcoaches, in order to attract students, increase the number of courses.(5)"Yu world" leaguebadminton club league development model should improve, continue to improve thecompetition system, optimize league system; the use of a variety of promotional methods toincrease publicity to raise social awareness, expand the social influence.
