Research Of Current Situation Of Training And Competition Of Special Olympics Development In Special Education Schools In Bohai Area

Special education is an important part of edbiz in China, which getting much more attention from our country. Special Olympics plays an important role in the special physical education, which is an effective way to improve physical condition of students, to promote students to integrate into the society. However, at present, parts of special education school in China are facing the situation about the SO have been weakened or even prohibited, this is worth paying attention to and thinking twice. Using the literature, survey, interview and questionnaire investigation method, this study focus on the present status of the SO development of the special education schools in Bohai Area. It aims to understand the main characteristics and regular pattern of the SO development, find the best combination between SO and physical education and existing problems, explore the strategies to promote the SO development, and give the development reference to other regions in China, letting more children with intellectual disability benefit from SO.Draw the following conclusion:1. In the special education schools of Bohai Area, there is a shortage of coaches, a lack of training experience, the coach teams are relatively young, lack of professional training, and the span of the professional is large and complex.2. In the special education schools of Bohai Area, the way of Special Olympics cultural transmission is kind of combination of inside and outside the classroom, which including the classroom teaching and campus culture environment construction to convey the basic knowledge, skills and spirit of Special Olympics.3. There is a obvious regional difference in the SO sports of the special education schools in Bohai Area. Besides the floor hockey, only winter sports carried out in Liaoning and Hebei provinces.4. The management system of SO training is not so good, most special education school set up the SO team, but lack of the athlete file. Some coaches do not make the training plan, which difficult to guarantee the training quality.5.The sport participation rate is high in the special education schools of Bohai Area, which formed the sports-promoted model. In Bohai Area, SO athletes competing form are mainly regular team competition and individual skill competition, the proportion of united team competition is low.6.The training funds is inadequate in the special education schools of Bohai Area. It is difficult to meet the needs of SO training using the existing equipment and facilities in this area.
