| Dongsheng Senior High School is a senior high school in the rural area of Zhongshan, where its students aren’t generally ideal. However, under the guidance of Howard Gardner’s theory of multiple intelligences and based on the analysis of the actual teaching practice, the school authorities have found that although the level and quality of the students and key school students varies greatly, there isn’t a great gap between the students of the school and those of key schools in Body kinesthetic intelligence, musical intelligence, spatial intelligence, interpersonal intelligence Therefore, the school authorities gathers art and physical teachers to discuss about the current college’s enrollment policy and conduct a feasible study of creating sports and art classes. In2006, the school created the first art class. Now the school has become a well-known school, which features sports and art teaching in the city of Zhongshan.This paper intends to summarize the eight years experiences of the school creating sports and art classes in an effort to the find the regular patterns of how to develop the sports and art classes. Meanwhile, the paper also probes into its own development paths suited to its students as well as the development of the school, continues the school reform and ultimately promotes quality education in the school.The paper is divided into five parts, primarily including the introduction, research methods, research strategies, research results, and outlooks of this study etc. Chapter one mainly focuses on the significance of this research, research progress, and how to conduct research etc. Chapter two discusses the fundamental features and principles of sports and art classes and the creating procedure.. Chapter three states the strategies of creating sports and art classes. Chapter four elaborates the measures the achievement of this case study by taking Dongsheng Senior High School as an example. Chapter five is the conclusion and outlook of this study. |
