Although stylistics has come about as a newly sprouted thing, the studies are lacked in stylistics application in English writing. Aimed at the unsatisfactory present situation in English teaching and learning, the thesis is used to apply stylistics theories in senior high school English writing. To improve the writing skills of students, the thesis is to analyse at the level of lexis, syntax, semantics and discourse according to the stylistics theories and English writing features, and the author of the thesis attempts to put forward a new teaching method of English writing in senior high school, which applies the stylistics theories to writing-teaching. This method consists of pre-writing, while-writing and post-writing. In conclusion, the author finds out that the students do improve the whole writing skills by means of the study of stylistics. The students have abilities to choose words that are appropriate to contexts and avoid the influence of negative transfer of Chinese ways of thinking. Therefore, compared to the traditional teaching method, the method based on stylistics theories is beneficial to improving the writing skills of senior high school students. The thesis is just a fresh attempt at the teaching method in senior high school English writing from the perspective of stylistics. As for students from different standards,there is need how to make full use of stylistics theories to "acts appropriately to the situation" in English writing in further studies and teaching.
