| Area activities have quietly got into our Chinese kindergarten since1980s.Moreand more kindergarten’s view extended this fairly special playing game,expect topromote the development of children’s freedom, autonomy and individuation. Atpresent, most kindergarten are able to recognize the role and status of regional activitiesin kindergarten educational activities. However, it is in the exploratory state that how tocarry out the actual nursery regional activities, what should be noted, how to meet thechildren’s interest and hobbies, as well as how to develop children’s individuation andautonomy and so on. Meanwhile, the problem of formalization commonly exists in thenursery regional activities. Therefore the problem of how to launch activities effectivelyis urgently solved. This research choose a case study for area activity in order toprovide some valuable comments and suggestions for the practical and commonproblems, faced by nursery regional activities.This essay makes use of qualitative research method, with a literature analysis,observation, interviews and case analysis, sampling method to select a middle class inZhangzhou. During the study, research shows the present condition of area activity inthe middle class A kindergarten S in Zhangzhou, also analyse environmental setting,materials provided, goal setting in design and teacher instruction, children’s learningduring the implementation. Focus on observing and analysing children’s learningbehavior in the corner, which present in the form of learning study. Throughcomprehensive investigation and analysis on the design and implementation inkindergarten S, Researchers summed up the experience and problems. It’s found thatthere are some good experience in study: Setting of the type and objective content inarea is relatively reasonable, spatial arrangement have some flexibility, Environmentallabeling implies stronger, regional materials putting is rich and diverse, instructor wayis diverse, children reach the general level of regional activities, wasting materials isreused. However, there are some problems: stage missing of regional activity goal, movement and quietness confusion of regional spatial setting, small changes in regionalmaterials, great arbitrary in regional instructor, single form in teacher evaluation,unidirectional trend in resource utilization.In response to these problems above: this study made a number of proposals inregional activities to improve: stage strengthen in regional targets, dynamic and staticcombined in regional spatial setting, flexible transformation in regional materials, anobserver, mentors, environment provider and reflection as teachers role, tripartite jointduring kindergarten, community, and family in regional resources. |
