A Study Of The Impacts Of Sports Games On Third Grade Primary School Students’ Intelligence

As one of the most critical impacts on children’s academic performances, intelligence is a research hotspot in the area of psychology, pedagogy and sociology. With the tremendous development of education market, exploring an effective approach to enhance children’s intelligence level is being paid great attention by social all circles.Sports games, as one the most popular sports activities, plays an increasingly important role in children’s training and education. However, few studies have explored the impacts of sports games on intelligence in the domestic and overseas.With the methods of literature review, experimentation, interviewing and mathematical statistics, this study explores the influences of sports games on intelligence development of children. The conclusions are as following:First, sports games for one semester have a significant impact on the development of children’s intelligence. Sports games for one semester have positive impacts on different aspects of children’s intelligence especially on graphics discrimination, graphics analogy ability and graphic combination ability.Second, sports games for one semester have a positive influence on the improvement of children’s academic performances. Sports games for one semester contribute to the improvement of children’s academic performances on Chinese and mathematics.Third, sports games for one semester have no significant impacts on children’s sports evaluation results. Sports games and regular physical education cause no significant differences on children’s sports evaluation results. Compare with regular physical education, sports games have no negative impacts on children’s sports performances.Fourth, sports games for one semester have positive impacts on children’s school behaviors. Through the sports games, children get improvements on collective performances, personal behaviors and interests in sports activities.
