With the advent of web2.0, instant social networking (ISN) becomes popular in college campus,leading to the birth of ISN Addiction College Students(ISNACS). Drawn on data form ISN, thestudy, taking ISNACS as research object, examines the present research of ISN addiction andacademic procrastination, its reason and the relationship between ISN addiction and academicprocrastination.The methods employed in the present study are literature review, questionnaire and contrastiveanalysis. The665subjects are randomly chosen from NUPT, Tongda College of NUPT and NFU.The data is processed with EXCEL and SPSS19.0.The findings are:46.92%subjects have the addition tendency and statistical difference isreveled with reference to variables of college, grade, major and gender.50.23%subjects have a highdegree of academic procrastination, with statistical difference on the variables of college and grade.A positive correlation is found between ISN addiction and academic procrastination, of which55.39%are ISNACS. ISNACS are found to be more emotionally disturbed than those ofnon-addicted.ISN addition is found to be negatively correlated with time management, self-discipline andattention. The reasons behind it are mainly found to be personal, task-based and environmental.ISNACS academic procrastination is characterized by aggregation, contagiosity, chronicity,obstinacy.The paper formulates an anti-procrastination model against the above findings, with an attemptto effectively intervene ISNACS and improve their present status.
