Online Academic Procrastination refers to the tendency or behavior of learners to delay the start or completion of the learning task when they are going on an online learning situation or facing an online learning task. With the continuous in-depth integration of"Internet+education",online and offline blended learning has gradually become the new normal of college students'learning. However, the rapid development of online education is accompanied by academic problems such as weak motivation for online learning, academic delays, and high dropout rates among college students.Among them, online academic procrastination may be an important factor affecting the effect of college students'online learning. At present, domestic and foreign scholars pay little attention to the delay of college students'online studies, and both theoretical discussion and empirical research are insufficient. This research aims to develop an online academic procrastination scale for college students and test its reliability and validity to provide a scientific tool for measuring online academic procrastination of college students and provide a reference for further in-depth exploration of college students'online academic procrastination in the future. This paper mainly uses interview survey and questionnaire survey to carry out the research.First of all,on the basis of fully reviewing the existing literature and analyzing the contents of semi-structured and structured interviews, the theoretical formulation of the Online Academic Procrastination Scale for College Students was preliminarily determined. That is,the initial items of the scale were prepared from three dimensions:the requirement of online academic tasks on learners'autonomy(high autonomy requirement, low autonomy requirement),the social feedback status of online learning environment(strong social feedback, weak social feedback)and the online learning link(pre-class,in-class,after class).Based on this, the initial items of the scale involve a total of 12 online task scenarios of2󫎿,and each task scenario prepares 6 items to form an expert assessment questionnaire c ontaining 72 items. After evaluation by 30 experts, the items with low scores or repetitive se mantics were eliminated, and the"Online Academic Procrastination Scale for College Student s(Preliminary Test Version)"containing 58 items was formed.Then,402 college students we re selected for the initial test. After collecting the data, through project analysis and explorator y factor analysis, the"Online Academic Procrastination Scale for College Students(Official V ersion)"was successfully compiled. Finally, using the offline academic procrastination scale and the general procrastination scale as the calibration standard,650 college students were selected as the subjects to conduct the preliminary application and reliability and validity test of the online academic procrastination scale for college students. The results show that:(1)The"Online Academic Procrastination Scale for College Students"has a two-factor structure, which can be named"procrastination of high-autonomy requirement in academic tasks"including 18 items and"procrastination of low-autonomy requirement in academic tasks"including 28 items. The two factors can explain 58.18%of the variation in online academic procrastination among college students.(2)The"Online Academic Procrastination Scale for College Students"has good reliabilit y.The internal consistency of the academic task delay subscale for high autonomy requiremen ts is 0.954,the internal consistency of the academic task delay subscale for low autonomy req uirements is 0.971,and the internal consistency of the full scale is 0.982.(3)"Online Academic Procrastination Scale for College Students"has good validity. The confirmatory factor analysis found that the data has a high degree of fit with the two-factor m odel(x~2/df=1.240?RMSEA=0.020?GFI=0.924?CFI=0.988?IFI=0.988?PNFI=0.899),At the same time, the scale had high calibration correlation validity, and the correlation with the offline academic procrastination scale score was 0.930.(4)The detection rate of online academic delays of college students was 22.3%,and the r ate of serious online academic delays was 5.7%.(5)There are significant differences in online academic procrastination among college st udents of different educational levels. The online academic procrastination scores of postgrad uates are significantly higher than that of undergraduates and junior college students, while th ere is no significant difference in the scores of undergraduates and junior college students. In summary, the"Online Academic Procrastination Scale for College Students"compiled by this research has high reliability and validity, meets the requirements of psychometrics,an d can be used to measure the degree of online academic procrastination of college students.P reliminary trials have found that the detection rate of online academic delays among college st udents is relatively high.In addition, although online learning has different characteristics fro m offline learning, the data shows that online academic procrastination and offline academic p rocrastination have a higher consistency.
