Abstract:The research on life education of college students is significant theoretically and in reality. This research is the inevitable choice for university education to return to its essence, It is the requirement of the reform of education system in colleges and universities and quality-oriented education. It is the internal need of strengthening the ideological and political education and mental health education. However, most of the researches on education of college students is discussed based on life experience not using the Marxism thought for guide, which are lack of effective and practical measures. This paper is expanded from four aspects as following:The first part is the theory and practical experience of life education. This paper discusses the origin of college students’ life education theory from ancient thought of life education, western life culture resources and Marxism view of life. The paper shows the practical experience of life education of college students in Taiwan, the United States and British, which illustrates the importance of Marxism guiding and dialectical materialism as for life culture resources and life education practice.The second part is the problems of life education for college students and the reasons of them. Based on the current reality, this paper find out the reasons of poor effect of life education of college students, which is reflect in college students’ insufficient concern about natural life, imperfect curriculum system of life education, less attention of emotional intensity in campus culture, lack of emotional experience practice and neglect of "death" education. And then find the reasons of them.The third part is the construction of life education of college students. The construction is based on the objectives, the principles and the contents of life education for college students. Life education should carry out the implementation of people-oriented, which will guide students concerned about the individual natural life, to help students enhance the cultural life of the individual with the people-oriented principle and to promote their full development. Life education can be divided into life knowledge education, life preservation skills education, education stimulate emotional experience of life, death education and cultural life promotion education.The fourth part is the path exploration of life education of college students. With the guidance of Marxism, this paper proposes four measures based on the problems and reasons of Life education:more study about Marxist view of life, putting life education curriculum into the training system, taking a variety of life education and constructing a life education system which is led by higher education with family society’s participation.
