Since the1990s, With the highly active state emergence of interprovincial populationmigration in China, Xinjiang provincial population migration has been high.Affected by theregional economic gap, the migration of the population between xinjiang and other provincesreflects enormous imbalance in distribution. Xinjiang is located in the remote area, poorinfrastructure in transport and information, these reality directly affect the spatialdisplacement of population in xinjiang.Firstly, based on the research object, this paper determined the research ideas, researchmethods, and summarized the foreign population migration theory and the trend of domesticpopulation migration on area selection and its influencing factors.Secondly, by using the2010sixth census data and other related data, this paper has carriedon the statistical description on spatial feature and demographics about Xinjiang PopulationMigration in migration distance, migration direction, migration zone, migration scale, gender,age, degree of education.Finally, according to the theory of population migration, establishment of the migrationdouble logarithmic model of location choice of Xinjiang provincial population, conductregression to the influence of Xinjiang provincial population migration factor in area selectionof the cross section data. The study found, GDP per person, per capita arable land area, thedegree of dependence on foreign energy ratio, the population of potential energy ratio,migration distance are the important factors that influence the choice of Xinjianginterprovincial migration. The per capita income, two or three the proportion of output value,the unemployment rate, location quotient on the cultural industry and whether there is athrough train to Xinjiang provincial population migration has no significant effect.
