As the main field of mathematical education, the research on mathematics classroomfrom the perspective of ecology has received more and more attention. The earlier researchon open mathematics teaching was mainly focused on the raising of open questions insteadof systematical study of the model. The development of applications of ecology in the fieldof education provides a new view of open teaching for our research. Therefore, combinedwith the study of history of open teaching of mathematics and educational ecology, theauthor discussed the open teaching of mathematics classroom, studied the ecologicalcharacteristics of open teaching. The feasibility and necessity of open mathematicsteaching were explained; the construction strategy and the implementation process wereprocessed.The following were the main points: Firstly, the connotation of ecology, classroomecology, ecological classroom, open education and open teaching were analysed. Secondly,combined with the native and foreign scholars research results and the author’s practicalexperience, the construction strategy of open mathematics teaching were pointed out.According to the basic elements of classroom ecology, from three aspects of teachers vsstudents, teaching activities and classroom environment, the open teaching strategies andthe implementation principles were proposed. In detail, they are the three dimensions ofecological classroom evaluation. The first is the dimension of ecological environment,including the physical environment of the classroom and the teacher and students’psychological environment. The second is the dimension of teaching process, including thegoal, content and activities, which mean teaching thought under open consciousness,teaching material in open questions, training objective at open thinking, activity modelwith cooperation and communication. The third is the dimension of educational ecology,which consists of the agent principle, the dynamic principle and the collaboration principle.The paper made exemplary analysis of open teaching by way of two famousmathematics teachers, Yunan Li and Weigang Sun’s classrooms in network. Then theauthor’s practical trial was showed. After one year’s practice of open teaching, the authorfound in his classes more harmony, increasing active learning, improving cooperationconsciousness and ability, developing intellectual quality.
