"National development, education first,""cultural prosperity, artisticpriority." With the promulgation of the new "music curriculum standards", themusic curriculum reform of basic education for school music education brings anew look. Former high school music education neglected, music lessons classcan not be guaranteed, too traditional teaching methods and content, teachingequipment shortages drawbacks need to change. Through literature andquestionnaires, the status of music education in three high schools DongheDistrict of Baotou City, the new curriculum after investigation and analysis toidentify the current high school music education problems still exist, and theanalysis of the problem,propose targeted recommendations andcountermeasures.According to feedback data combined teaching experience of the authorpersonally, this paper puts forward six measures: the first is innovation andchange in educational philosophy; second is to build a strong team of teachers;third is the reform of teaching methods and content; fourth is to build a modernteaching facilities perfect music and music teaching equipment; fifth is a gooddevelopment and construction of the campus music culture; Sixth is thedevelopment and use of regional music culture, the promotion of nationalculture. Development of the times, so modern music education for high schoolstudents face new demands, only to follow the development of teachers andschool authorities to be able to effectively improve the quality of musiceducation for students for lifelong learning and love of music foundation.This paper consists of four parts:Part I: a brief introduction of the topics of the origin, purpose, significance, and research ideas and methods.Part II: mainly in the literature review mainly summarizes the currentsituation and development trend of domestic and international music education.Simple combing the history and process of reform of the high school musicprograms, and analyzes the new curriculum standards for high school musiccurriculum requirements.Part III: combined survey results, analysis and consolidation of three highschool music education status quo Donghe District of Baotou City, carding threeschools of music education problems and drawbacks.Part IV: Donghe District of Baotou City for the current status quo of threehigh school music education and the problems, countermeasures and suggestionsput forward the reform and innovation of high school music education.
