The college major of music education should be bearing a sacred duty oftraining qualified music teacher for primary and secondary schools. But the ability ofthe major for bearing this duty depends on whether it has a scientific, perfect andeffective curriculum setting.As is known to all, training target determines the curriculum setting, and thecurriculum setting will specifically reflect the level of the training. Since the Chineseeconomic reform in nineteen eighties, our country has realized the importance ofreforming teacher training, and until the end of2004, we have experienced threeperiods, the Ministry of Education commissioned the group of National EducationScience-"the development of primary and secondary school music education and thereform of education of college music education major "-key issue of "ten fives", todevelop the "National Ordinary College Musicology (Teacher Education) guidancescheme of undergraduate course"(hereinafter referred to as the " scheme of course ").Research on the music curriculum is the prerequisite to promote music education.Therefore, the author studied two different types of school music education courses,from the perspective of curriculum and teaching by literature analysis, website,theoretical analysis, comparative analysis, data analysis method, explore thedevelopment and current context set of college music education curriculum in China.And use the curriculum setting experience of Teacher Education in the United States,puts forward some understanding and thinking in the curriculum setting of musiceducation in China.
