The Research On The Environment And Prospeets Of The Promotion Of Park Volleyball Programs In Beijing

As the issue and implementation of the Plan of Nation-wide Body-building(2011-2015)，and the vigorous development of the mass sports and the nation-widebody-building activities，the Chinese Volleyball Association formally announced theproject of Park Volleyball in May31st，2013. Park Volleyball is a type of volleyball，which is mostly for entertainment，and is of low level of technical difficulties. Withsimple rules and flexible field requirements，Park Volleyball is a type of mass sportthat is easy to promote. It is the right time to promote Park Volleyball now. This articleaims at better understanding the prospect of promoting Park Volleyball in Beijing.Combining circumstances and current situation，through investigation and research，this article scientifically analyzes the environmental factors of promoting ParkVolleyball，and gives suggestions for possible problems that will occur during thepromotion of the sport.This article explores the environment of Park Volleyball promotion throughmethods of literature review and questionnaire survey. By classifying influentialenvironmental factors through SWOT analysis，this article developed proper solutionsas follows:1. Park Volleyball has many advantages，because it has few equipment constrains，simple rules，lower technician requirement，proper intensity.2. Due to the late start，Park Volleyball is at its early stage of development. It fallsbehind three-player basketball and five-player volleyball in terms of coverage，level ofgame，and influence.3. In Beijing， the promotion of Park Volleyball enjoys favorable social andenvironmental opportunities，such as for plenty of fields，advanced equipment R&D，motivated players，good policy，favorable social-economic environment，and nicecultural atmosphere.4. Beijing’s climate and air quality issues a threat to the promotion of Park Volleyball.Another threat is the large differences of needs for fields，equipment， rules，andgame format，due to the difference of players.5. By synthesizing four solutions developed by SWOT analysis，the promotion of ParkVolleyball in Beijing has a bright prospect. 6. For pertinence，a case-by-case approach shall be taken when choosing strategiesfor promoting Park Volleyball.7. In order to change the development situation，at current stage，Park Volleyballprograms shall focus on college students， utilize the advantages of growingstrategies，and then encourage the participation of ordinary people.Suggestions: The environmental factors in this research have limitation of thetimes，which shall be modified and improved in future research，in order to keep upwith the times.
