As thinkers of East-West Axial Age, Confucius and Socrates’ moral education thoughts are the source of eastern and Western which has its own characteristics of traditional moral education respectively. Comparison of the two thinkers of the view of moral education content, the author noticed them in the standard and way of moral education content choice,the truthful understanding of moral education and the delivery strategy of moral education content have obvious difference;At the same time show the pursuit of the unity of moral education and political education, The good and the beautiful. The similarities reflect the similarity of realistic starting point, starting point of theory, and the political goals; differences reflect their different social historical conditions and the philosophical epistemology.Comparison of the Confucius and Socrates’ view of moral education content, which have a direct significance to us in defining the choice of the moral education content standards, understanding the characteristics of moral education content, optimizing the structure of the moral education content and delivery strategy, which are good for us arranging contents of moral education scientifically and reasonablly, improve the actual effect of moral education.This paper is divided into four parts. The first part is introduction, mainly elaborat the selected topic reason, the selected topic significance, this topic research present situation and the research method, innovation point. The second part, this paper summarizes the concept of Confucius and Socrates’ moral education content, and makes evaluation to the content of moral education view of Confucius and Socrates; The third part, firstly compares the Confucius and Socrates’ view of moral education content in five aspects of similarity and two aspects of differences respectively, secondly, analyzing the causes of the differences and similarities respectively; The fourth part, elaborating the Confucius and Socrates’ view of moral education content for the enlightenment to our moral education practice today, mainly from the moral education content of selection criteria, handling the certainty and uncertainty of the moral education content, optimizing the structure of moral education content, using the moral education content delivery strategy four aspects put forward some suggestions.
