With the development of the times,the curriculum reform of elementary education iscarrying on. According to the concept of new curriculum reform, it’s the important way to payattention to students’ generative learning for Improve the classroom teaching effect. Problemteaching method embodies the teaching philosophy: teachers as the leading factor, thestudent as the main body, at the same time, it has a long development process, era constantlygiving it new content, above all, it embodies the maturity of problem teaching method. Thepurpose of this research is to provide an operable teaching mode for class teaching based onthe research of the problem teaching method.Concerned about the students’ subjective position,reforming evaluation methods and thecultivation of the spirit of innovation are the requirements raised by the new curriculumreform for teaching. Problem teaching method is an important way to bring about the target ofthe new curriculum reform, it focuses on the communication and interaction of teachingprocess and advocates the autonomous learning of students, at same time, and it can helpoptimize the effects of the high school physics teaching. This paper can be divided into fourparts: The first one describes the background and significance of the topic proposed based onthe analysis of the requirements of modern education and teaching and present situation ofphysics teaching in senior high school; The second part has a further analysis about Thesignificance of the problem teaching method for students’ development based on combiningthe modern teaching theory and the research history of problem teaching method, in themeantime, an operational definition of a problem teaching method are put forward. The thirdpart specifically addressed the application of problem teaching method in teaching highschool physics concepts, the laws of physics teaching, teaching physical problems andphysical review of teaching. The last part has a reflection about the problem teaching method in high school physics teaching.
