Physics is a science based on experiments. Both the formation of physical concepts and thediscovery of physical rules are based on the experimental facts. Performing experiments is anessential way of research in physics. An excellent experiment-teaching can arouse students’interest in learning physics, encourage them to explore bravely, and help build the quality ofscience and form scientific world view. Mechanics is the basis and one of the key points physicsin senior high school. The experiment-teaching is the easiest and most efficient approach toteaching the concept of Mechanics and the rules in this subject. However, in the real experiment-teaching, some experiments of Mechanics which more or less have some problems are still beingused as a result of paying not enough attention to the experiment-teaching. To make the physicalexperiments work more effectively, it is quite necessary to work on improving the Mechanicsexperiment. For the sake of students’development, the improvement of part of the demonstrativeexperiments and group experiments is conducted and I have come up with my own ways toimprove the experiments under the instruction of the New Curriculum Standard. Finally, some ofmy practical teaching activities are listed, which present the process of “Practice-Theory-Practice”, hoping that it may offer some reference to the experiment-teaching of physicseducators.
