The external environment elements such as economic globalization, the fierce competitions between countries and the Chinese economic development, bring about new requirements and challenges to our country’s education career. One important solution to the challenge is to strengthen the teachers’training and management. Efficient teachers’training is an important way to improve teachers’quality and also it is an effective way to promote teachers’ professional development. It is true that the development of rural primary and middle school teachers is not only the issue of rural education and rural teachers. More importantly, it relates to the national education career and the national teachers. Therefore, it is meaningful to research the training of rural primary and middle school teachers and to solve all the problems.In this dissertation, which based on Shanxi Normal University "National Training Plan", used questionnaire and interview methods to investigate the current situation of rural primary and middle school teachers’training in Shanxi. Through the survey, we found that the emphasis on teachers’training is not enough, the target is not clear, the content target is not strong, the method is not flexible, the dedicated teachers is not enough, the institutional guarantee system and the teachers’training evaluation system are not sound enough. The reasons for the above problems are:firstly, the basic education administrative department has some loopholes in terms of the trained teachers’ selection mechanism and the lack of teachers’ training incentive mechanism; secondly, the organizations which implement the teachers’ training do not have enough emphasis on the demands of trained teachers, and ignore the tracking guidance and service after the teachers’training. For normal colleges, the working stress is quite high. Finally, those trained rural school teachers’training ideas are out-of-date, the teachers’ professional development is low and the practical difficulties in the training. Focused on the problems of rural school teachers’ training in Shanxi and the analysis of the reasons, the researchers proposed the following effective suggestions to improve the Shanxi rural school teachers’ training. For the education administrative department, they need actively construct the rural school teachers’ training system in terms of laws and regulations, and perfect the training teachers’ selection mechanism and the reward mechanism. For the normal schools which organize and implement the teachers’training, they need analyze the teachers’training demands, enrich the content of the teachers’training, strengthen the construction of trained teachers’ team, emphasize the tracking guidance and service after the teachers’ training, prefect the evaluation system of teachers’ training, and create the community between the education and teachers. For those trained teacher, they should emphasize the education reflection, inspire the teachers intrinsic motivation, enhance the consciousness of the participation in scientific research and then promote the teachers professional development.
