With the rapid development of economy and society, and continue to deepen the implementation of new curriculum reform, the constant progress of geographical science, the widespread application of geographical information technology, all of them put the geographical education in the initial stage of compulsory education forward new challenge. The education policy based on teachers.Then the junior middle school geography teachers should accord with the trend of The Times development, constantly update their education idea, perfect their knowledge structure system, improve their teaching skills, and pursuit the professional development. It's necessary to create a junior middle school geography teachers team which is moral excellent and specialization for promoting the geographical foundation education reform.Teacher training is an effective measure to construct high level teaching staff. The implementation of "In the primary and secondary school teachers training projects at the national level" is the innovation of teacher educatio practice and the development of the education policy for poverty alleviation. To explore its influence on geography teachers' professional development, to further improve the optimization strategy of teacher training programs. This is conducive to effectively promote teachers' professional development, improve the quality of geography education, cultivate geographic literacy of citizens, and also conducive to enrich teachers training theory and the theory of elementary education reform.This paper mainly regards the junior middle school geography teachers who join in the "national training plan of 2014, 2015," at Henan University as the research object, and a serious of methods just like the literature study, questionnaire interview method and observation research methods should be used in this research.Based on the analysis of carding teacher professional literature: this paper defines the core related concepts, and summarizes the research progress about teachers' specialization at home and abroad and the brief overview of research status between the “National Training Plan” and the teachers' professional development,and expounds the theoretical basis that's the teacher professional development stage theory. Scholars have done a lot of research about the teachers' professional development, but they did little systematic studies of geography teachers' professional development, this article tries to research this subject systematically from the teachers' training and geography teachers' professional development.A questionnaire investigation was conducted randomly at the participants that's about their basic information, professionalism and train expect. and some of them were interviewed. 198 questionnaires were handed out in 2014,2015, and 155 valid questionnaires were taken back. From the results of the survey and predecessors' studying we can learn that the junior high school geography teachers specialized current situation is not optimistic. the status of Geographical discipline and geography teachers is relatively low; Geography teaching facilities is relatively backward; Geography teachers' age, teaching age, the year of the geography curriculum teaching, the specialty basic structure and academic degree is not scientific; Their Professional knowledge, professional skills and professional emotion and other professional accomplishment needs to ascend; There is a certain subjective and objective factors restricts the geography teacher specialization development such as the gap between the training and actual participation expectations.This paper preliminary explores the impact of the "national training plan" on Teachers' professional development. On the one hand, based on the analysis of theory of teacher development stage, the goal of training programs, curriculum and teachers' expectations survey is consistent, and the Participants also realize the professional growth in a certain degree; On the other hand, as the observer found some factors that influence the training effects that some trainees do not match the qualifications of training, part of the students learning attitude is not positive enough, and some of the training management system is not perfect enough.According to the conclusion of the investigation and the implementation of the "national training plan", the author puts forward the optimization strategy of teacher training to promote the teacher professional development: From the policy, system, human, material and other aspects to improve the security mechanism; To further clarify the responsibilities and obligations of the administrative departments of education, schools, teachers, training institutions and other subjects; Optimizing the teacher evaluation system, improving training value.The innovation of this paper lies in: first, this research adopts the method of observing. In the past two years, the author pay close attention to the performance of students, to find the problems existing in the training, which can provide more specific detailed information for research. Second, from the functional orientation of teacher education and teacher professional property perspective, the author put forward a series of opinions and Suggestions to perfect the teacher training system construction just like the specific strategies of optimizing teacher training and promotion.To further research "national training plan" and junior middle school geography teacher professional development, to further promote the effective of the teacher training programs, to improve teachers' training effectiveness, to promote teachers' professional development, have certain theoretical and practical significance.
