Research On Informal Learning Environment Model Building In The Museum Education

With the proposal of lifelong education, more and morepeople begin to pay attention to their learning abilityenhancement. Informal learning has become an important wayto lifelong education. Museum education as an important part ofinformal education. Since China adopted a policy of free andopen, it attracts a lot of visitors and the audience. Especiallywith the support of virtual reality technology, virtual museumwill appear more exhibits in front of an audience, It isconvenient for people to enjoy themselves. This paper selectsthe museum as an informal learning environment, as a platformto study how to more effectively provide visitors with a highquality learning environment for current museum education.Firstly, this paper introduce three concepts that include themuseum education, informal learning and learning environment.To verify the feasibility of the model, it is based the theory ofactivity, situated cognition and distributed. Secondly, thevisitors and the workers in the museums were usedquestionnaire survey method and interview method. Andinformal learners is the center of the model, build the learningcommunity and culture through the interest, participation andinternalization. From the informal learning, the combination of the museum situation, learning content, learning support andlearning community to elaborate the various elements ofmuseum education environment and the interaction betweeneach other. Finally, taking ShanXi Museum temporary exhibitionNorth American aboriginal art exhibition as an example toanalyzes the visit process that includes promotional activities,educational activities and auxiliary activities. Therefore, we’dbetter come to the conclusion that museum not only focus ondisplay, but also design the appropriate content for each group,so as to let more visitors to participate in the informal learningin the museum.This study will build a museum in the informal learningenvironment model. That is applied to concrete museum, toprovide other informal learning environment to build a new idea,the reality of the learning environment combined with networklearning environment, informal learning and formal learningfusion, in order to promote learning effect, efficiency, benefitmaximization, provide an idea to build a lifelong learningsystem.
