Five thousand years of Chinese civilization history has countless proverbs and stories about reading,which tells us reading has important value and been paid attention by people.As for teachers who are special occupational crowd,reading should be paid more attention. Because teachers’ reading is not only directly related to its teaching and development, but also related to the quality of the talents. Besides, it’s a kind of soft power which concerns the learning environment of the whole society.With the speeding up of nowadays’ knowledge’s update speed,the increasing way for students to contact knowledge,and the expanding of their knowledge,teachers realize the importance of their reading.Teachers should do the conditioned reading to acquire the necessary knowledge about pedagogy and psychology,and they also should do the extensive reading to enrich their knowledge about humanities.The conditioned reading and extensive reading are needed for all subjects teachers. In recent years,the attention of teachers’ reading and the studies on it have never been broken,and they give much more emphasis on the teachers’ conditioned reading and extensive reading.However,professional reading as the most fundamental and the most basic reading should not be ignored.The current situation of teachers’ professional reading is also worth studying deeply.This research investigates and analyses the current situation of primary school Chinese teachers’ professional reading in Nanchang by the way of questionnaire,interview and collecting paper and network reading achievement.This study found some problems:(1)motivation of professional reading lacks the innate needs;(2)the time and amount of professional reading are both not enough;(3)the content of professional reading is centralized, not comprehensive;(4)the good habit of professional reading has not formed yet;(5)the degree of the combination of professional reading and professional writing is not well;(6)the utilization rate of network media in professional reading is not high.Aiming at these problems, this research finds out some reasons from internal and external by using Materialistic dialectics.And this study takes some corresponding measures from two aspects, to improve the situation of primary school Chineseteachers’ professional reading in Nanchang city.The aspect of teachers:(1)strength the love of teaching profession;(2)overcome the inert psychology to guarantee the reading time;(3)cultivate the reading interest to enrich the professional content;(4)make a plan to develop good reading habit;(5)strength the combination of professional reading and professional writing;(6)use the internet appropriately to promote teachers’ professional reading.The aspect of schools:(1)launch various forms of reading activities;(2)build the teachers’ reading-room and optimize teachers’ office;(3)create the interactive reading atmosphere between teachers and students.(4)establish teachers’ reading fund;(5)develop the award measures of teachers’ reading;(6)appear for building the public reading facilities.
