The information technology under high-speed development has revolutionary impact on the development of education.More and more attention have been paid to the education informatization in our country, the Ministry of Education proposed the thought of constructing informational learning and teaching environment. Traditional teaching method can’t satisfy the need of multi-discipline knowledge and immediacy for the students. Hence modern teaching mode must be accelerated to adapt to the development of technology, consequently the flipped classroom emerges as the times require. However, the application of the flipped classroom in many important subjects has no clear practical results, especially in abstract mathematics. And the application of the flipped classroom in classroom teaching is lack of theoretical basis and practical experience. So the thesis researches on the combination of the flipped classroom and middle school mathematics teaching with a certain theoretical and practical value.Based on the relevant literatures at home and abroad, the research takes the support of blending learning theory, micro learning theory and ARCS motivation theory. The thesis analysis feasibility of flipped classroom’s application in our middle school from the perspective of origin, connotation, characteristics and teaching design. Then the author tries to design and develop part of mathematics curriculum with designing a learning task list and learning activity of the flipped classroom, through the practical research in middle school classroom confirms the effectiveness of application in mathematics teaching to explore a suitable road for our country. The author designs the flipped classroom take the example of the standard equation of ellipse in high school and the Pythagorean Theorem in junior school. Then the author practices respectively in high school and junior school. The results are as follows: flipped classroom can attract students’ intellectual curiosity in some certain extents; it can help some students to improve their mathematic grades and the students’ ability of autonomous learning, independent exploration ability and cooperative interaction ability can be developed at the same time. While the effective implement of the flipped classroom relies on the equipment of information technology, information literacy of students and teachers, the self-study ability of the students. Therefore the effect of the flipped classroom in practical teaching in our country need to be further verified.
