Research On Cultivation Of The College Students’ Integrity Quality

Integrity, an important category of Chinese traditional moral philosophy, is one of the excellent moral heritages with continuous innovation and development, and has handed down more than five thousand years of history. Meanwhile, as an important part of Chinese ideal moral personality, integrity has been praised by people since ancient times. However, with the continuous improvement of globalization level and constantly enrichment of people’s material lifestyle, ideological concepts and value orientation of college students emerge more diversified so that the discreditable behaviors frequently occur among college students. In order to promote the construction of a well-off society, the deepening of reform and the rule of law in an all-round way, college students must strive to achieve all-round development of ideological and political quality, moral quality, cultural quality and mental quality. Most importantly, college students must take the integrity as the internal driving force.There is no doubt that the university plays a leading role in the process of cultivation of the college students’integrity quality. Therefore, to analyze and discuss existed problems in this process is extremely important for university to promote the formation and development of the college students’ integrity quality. The present paper consisting of five parts takes the university as the main research object. The first chapter as introduction investigated and clarified the background and significance of the research, and further demonstrated the importance and urgency for strengthening cultivation of the college students’ integrity quality. In second chapter, some related concepts of integrity were scientifically defined, while some related basic theories of integrity were explained. The third chapter analyzed the existed problems in the process of the cultivation of college students’ moral integrity, and also explored the causes of the problems by using the combination of literature research and social survey. The fourth chapter focused on the analysis of practices for cultivating college students’ integrity quality in some other countries including America, Switzerland, Singapore and Germany, and got some inspiration from it. In terms of existed problems in the process of the cultivation of college students’ moral integrity, the fifth chapter elaborated available paths and potential measures from four aspects including school education, family education, social environment and self-cultivation.
