With the development of global education reform and advance of the 8th curriculum reform in China, it is imperative to improve students’ scientific literacy.Being one disciplinary characteristic of chemistry as a subject, chemistry experiment is not only an important part of this subject, but also a significant means of implementing the chemistry curriculum reform and representing inquiry-based learning. Chemistry experiment plays an irreplaceable role in many aspects, including improving students’ scientific literacy and comprehensive ability. Therefore, the overall implementation of the chemical experiment course is the trend to continue curriculum reforms.Based on a review of the present situation of research at home and abroad and the understanding of the current curriculum standards for teachers and students on the questionnaire. Teacher questionnaire included experimental curriculum, course content experiments, experimental teaching and experimental evaluation. Student questionnaires including student attitudes toward chemistry experiments, operational experimental results processing, how to deal with toxic pollution experiment, whether it is necessary to establish five resource library.By the questionnaire analysis of teachers and students and literature research,attention must be paid to problems that exist in the experimental curriculum implementation. In terms of the curriculum settings, serious subject-oriented thinking makes the curriculum settings accomplish in one step; the obscure subject status of experiment leads to the domination of demonstration experiment; the experimental security can not be fully reflected; class period for experiment is enough, etc. In terms of the content of experimental course, it breaks away from reality while ignores the experience construction of the student, emphasizes the experimental phenomena while ignores experimental security and impacts on the environment, stresses deduction from theories to experiment while ignores the real test scenarios, etc. In terms of experimental teaching, some error-prone of chemistry teachers can be noticed during the experimental process, such as emphasizing the imparting of knowledge while neglecting basic experimental operation; attaching great importance to exploration experiments while neglecting other scientific inquiry; emphasizing micro-experiments while neglecting routine experimental operation; paying much attention to experimental skills while neglecting training of discipline literacy; stressing demonstration experiments while neglecting functions of other media, etc.Compared with Taiwan experimental course, its merits can be adopted; at the same time, combining with document analysis, strategies to solve the problems can be developed as following: learning from Taiwan to develop specific experimental course guidance; speeding up training for chemistry teachers; enhancing laboratory safety management; establishing resource library of micro-curriculum of chemistry experiment; improving multimedia-assisted teaching; changing evaluation methods,etc.To sum up, the thesis research conclusion and the paper summarizes problems and shortcomings that exist in the research process, and gives an outlook to the fullimplementation of experimental curriculum, as well as the improvement of students’ scientific literacy.
