Cohesion means things are connected. During junior high school, it’s easy for students to understand and accept the biological teaching material because of its closeness to real life. The students are required to get the skills for further biological study and know the application of biotechnology in the production and social life. However, during senior high school, biology has rigorous core concepts and emphasizes on the grasp of basic principles and rules. It’s getting more and more difficult as the calculation and different types of question are involved. With the faster progress and more intelligent understanding of memory, the freshmen entering high school find it difficult to learn biology. All these contribute to their confusion in biology learning. Therefore, it is necessary to do the linkage of junior and senior high school biology, Students can learn better and master the knowledge of biology.By reading literature, the study on the cohesion between junior and senior high school biology is relatively small. Based on the modern cognitive psychology and the zone of proximal development theory, the paper confirms that the learning of new knowledge is based on the prior knowledge. Through the questionnaire and interview,we acquired the teachers’ and students’ understanding and view of senior high school biology.The author has several years of practical work and to compare initial properties, high school biology curriculum idea, curriculum goal, with the method of content analysis as the research focus, through compulsory junior middle school and high school biology textbooks biological analysis,the author tried to study about the cohesion of the teaching content.This article carries on the analysis from the experiment, the molecular and cellular, heredity and evolution, the steady state and the environment and does a comparative study of junior and senior high school biology textbooks. By means of analysis of the cohesion of same and different knowledge points, the author tries to put forward some well-directed teaching advice.Finally, from the aspect of textbook compiling, the author makes a summary of four parts and gives the following teaching advice: 1. Looking for the cohesion points and getting ready for the teaching; 2. Guiding the students to the change of study method in teaching; 3. Understanding the situation of biological teaching and learning; 4. Adjusting the teaching progress and proceeding step by step.In order to get teaching effect with the help of the real implementation of biology content, the author thinks we must change our strategy accordingly: 1. Building up the idea of lifelong learning; 2. Enhancing the touch and communication of junior and senior high school; 3. Support from the government at all levels and school leaders.
