In recent years, with the continuous development of multimedia computer assisting instruction technology, multimedia courseware is widely used in various teaching activities. Among them, using multimedia courseware in high school English teaching not only improves the teaching efficiency, but also has a profound impact on the teaching philosophy of the educators, thus promoting the smooth implementation of the new curriculum reform. In English teaching information technology background, combined with teaching techniques aided by multimedia computer, to further explore more effective teaching methods becomes the inevitable trend of the times. The multimedia courseware, which is currently used widely and gets a higher rating, is named three split screen courseware based on IE browser.Based on the above background, this article firstly does research into the application of three split screen courseware in various fields. Then the method of making three split screen courseware, its advantages and disadvantages in teaching activities and its feasibility in high school English teaching are studied and analyzed. With the teaching application value confirmed, combined with the characteristics of English teaching, the three split screen courseware is designed and worked out. Then, completed three split screen courseware is applied in the high school English teaching activities and the development prospects of three split screen courseware is further explored. At the same time, by observing and analyzing the situation in class and the teaching effect, strategies of using three split screen courseware in the high school English teaching is gradually concluded.By studying related theories, designing teaching process, discussing methods of making courseware, analyzing feasibility in the teaching practice and doing research into teaching application strategies, it is concluded that three split screen courseware in high school English teaching has excellent performance and powerful potential. Three split screen courseware in high school English teaching application can significantly improve the learning ability of students, make the high school English teaching advanced, improve the teachers’ information technology teaching level, reduce the cost of education and optimize the education structure. In a word, it reaches the requirements of new curriculum reform and its development trend.
