| In recent years, our country has issued a series of favorable policies to supportvocational education in the face of the high-speed economic development and theneed for highly qualified and skilled talents, and therefore the running strength andlevel of the vocational schools has been improved gradually. However, due to unsteady achievements basis during the compulsory education,one-sided understanding to education in the traditional social concept, technicalworkers’ low social status, narrow promotion space in the future workplace, all havemany negative effects on self-efficacy sense of vocational secondary school students.Specific performances: Lack of self-knowledge. They think that it is worthless tobecome workers after graduating from secondary vocational school, don’t haveenough confidence for the future, and lack study initiative; Failure on the academicachievement in the past makes them full of fear of learning activities, and producetired emotion and negative behavior; comparing to senior high school students, theywill have to directly face the pressure of employment, full of anxiousness to deal withthe adult world. Besides, the secondary vocational school students are in the transitioncritical stage from individual psychological maturity but unstable developmentadolescent to adult, so they often encounter the problems, such as the interpersonaldisturbance, mood and emotional confusion, less experience coping withfrustration...... Therefore, we must take appropriate interventions to improve thesituation of secondary vocational school students, so as to improve the quality ofvocational education personnel trainingA lot of theory and practice from the academic circles at home and abroad haveproved that through the main mechanism of the students’ self-efficacy can adjust theirlearning behavior and strength the beliefs of their studies, so as to improve theiracademic achievement, at the same time, thus can enhace self-efficacy, and increaseself-confidence to achieve the individual development in all aspects.Bandura, A.(1995) has concluded that self-efficacy supporting activityadherence is not limited to specific activities when students face difficulties, and themotivation could be migrated to new activities, extending to other similar situations.(Bandura, A.1995, P205)A great deal of study has confirmed: the sense of self-efficacy is generative andit can be trained and developed. Recently, the group counseling has become a mentalhealth intervention for its economy and efficiency, and it has been more and morewidely used. The article is based on the previous related studies and combined with factors thatinfluence the students’ general self-efficacy and their physical and psychologicalcharacteristics, is targeted in the design of group psychological counseling program. Thus is designed to intervene the students through group counseling students toimprove their self-efficacy. We found60volunteers through interviews among thestudents from the same major and the same grade. They were divided into theexperimental group and the control group,each30. We implemented the grouppsychological counseling on the experimental group for8consecutive weeks, o nce aweek,90minutes each, and did not make any intervention to the control. We used“General Self-Efficacy Scaleâ€to investigate the two groups before and after groupcounseling, and analyzed the obtained data statistically. The results showed there weresignificant differences between before and after test results for the experimental group, the control,no. There was no difference between the experimental group and thecontrol group in the before test results, there were significant differences in the aftertest results. Thus indicates that the group counseling has favorable effect and is aneffective means of intervention. Meanwhile, the survey shows the generalself-efficacy does not have significant differences in gender, age, birthplace, andwhether the one-child.This study shows that group psychological counseling can effectively improvethe vocational students’ self efficacy, and can be applied in their activity class onpsychological health education. |
