Modern prose, the key point of Chinese teaching, is relatively more impossible to beselected in language teaching. According to the stylistic features of prose, the aestheticinterpretation needs to be emphasized in the teaching of modern prose in order to stimulate theenthusiasm of students to read, write and learn prose. However, considering the stylistic featuresof prose and the insufficiency of the prose theory research, the teaching content of modern prosehas not been clearly stipulated. In particularly, there exist many teaching problems anduncertainties in the aesthetic teaching of prose. As a result, many teachers may feel at a loss inthe teaching of prose and Chinese teaching is weak in teaching prose.In accordance with the research thinking from theory to practice, this paper, from theperspective of aesthetics, aims to study the modern prose teaching. Firstly, the author hasreferred to a large number of the modern prose theories. Based on that, the stylistic features ofthe modern prose have been summarized. Meanwhile, according to the text structural hierarchytheory, the paper has discussed in detail the aesthetic features of the prose style, language imageand semantic layer, and thus the stylistic features of the modern prose can be strengthened.Secondly, considering the unique aesthetic features of prose style, language image and semanticlayer, the paper has tried to dig the aesthetic teaching content and resources. And with referenceto the research methods of the literary interpretation of psychology, the paper aims to explore adynamic and orderly aesthetic teaching of prose. In the author’s opinion, in the aesthetic teachingof prose, the aesthetics should be regarded not only as a kind of teaching method or media, butalso as a kind of teaching viewand ideal state.The paper has been divided into the following four parts.In the first chapter, the aesthetic teaching of modern prose has been interpreted. Thischapter has mainly explained the concept of aesthetic teaching, explored the problems existing inthe current teaching of prose, and discussed the importance of the aesthetic teaching put forwardin the teaching of modern prose.The second chapter has discussed the elements of the modern prose aesthetic teaching. Inreference to the relevant research results of prose style and considering the unique aestheticfeatures of prose, and based on the text structural hierarchy theory, this chapter has discussed indetail the unique aesthetic features of the prose style, language image, semantic characteristics,and thus emphasizing the aesthetic teaching content of prose. The third chapter, the most important part, has discussed the aesthetic teaching methods ofmodern prose. Based on the aesthetic features of the prose style, language image and semanticlayer, the chapter has tried to dig the teaching resources from the text structural hierarchy. At thesame time, and combining with the specific text, different teaching methods can be determined,namely, the descriptive teaching of language image and the comprehension teaching of prosesemantics.The fourth chapter has discussed the cases of the prose aesthetic teaching. This chapter hasprovided the typical cases of aesthetic teaching and also the aesthetic interpretation of prose andthe sample of the aesthetic teaching design.This paper aims to provide a means of prose reading and implementation for Chineseteachers, and let students feel, describe and understand the beauty of prose in a free andharmonious atmosphere, in order to improve students’ aesthetic quality of prose and enrich theirlanguage experience as well as their life experiences.
