Case Study Of Novice Teachers’ Role Adaptation

The novice teacher role adaption is a process, which the noviceteachers skills, then adapt to new work environment quickly,integrate into new circle, achieve a role change that.Whether noviceteachers fit for their roles or not would affect the orientation andattitude of their professional development and their level. However,their job is not to take place overnight or easy.This study in which open and flexible qualitative researchmethod was applied. Adopted a case study method with two Chineseteachers in high school as the case study. Through the interviewsurvey to participate their daily teaching activity, reflect theirsituation of adapting to the teacher role through three dimensions;education and teaching adaption； interpersonal relationship andpsychological adaption. And made analysis. Then comprehensiveanalyses to obtain the main factors that affect novice teacher roleadaption.The main facotrs that influenced novice teachers role,adaption are the novice teachers themselves, normal colleges and teaching school.In order to help novice teachers to complete their roleadaptation smoothly, some suggestions are given in the articleaccording to the influential factors from the teachers themselves,normal schools and teaching schools. The novice teachers shoulddear career planning, actively explore the professional developmentpath, raise their professional quality, bear bad emotion reasonably；The normal schools should optimize the curriculum, emphasize onpractice, strengthen the training of new teachers’ interpersonalcommunicate skill； teaching school should create a good workingatmosphere for novice teacher role adaption； and strengthen thehumanistic are and role adaption guidance of new teachers.
