Role play can enhance the development of children’s cognition,language,emotion and other abilities.It is a typical play in early childhood and one of the most vital activities of preschool children,and its educational value can not be ignored.Teachers’ effective guidance can promote the realization of the educational value of role play.However,in educational practice,there are still many problems in teachers’ guiding behaviors,especially novice teachers who lack teaching experience.Therefore,it is of great significance to study the guidance behaviors of novice teachers on children’s role play.Via understanding the present situation of novice teachers’ guidance before,during and after the development of role games,this study finds out the problems and attributions of novice teachers in guiding role games.What’s more,this paper puts forward appropriate countermeasures and suggestions to solve the problems,so as to provide some references for novice preschool teachers to guide role play in the future.This study adopts the methods of observation,interview and questionnaire to observe 10 novice teachers in the middle class of 6 kindergartens in T City.At the same time,a questionnaire survey is carried out on novice teachers in various types of kindergartens to explore the current situation of role play guided by novice teachers to analyze the existing problems and causes,and put forward the corresponding countermeasures.The results show that there are problems in the guidance behavior of novice teachers before,during and after the development of role play.Specifically,the problems existing in the guidance behavior of teachers before the development of role play include: novice teachers’ vague concept of role play,single theme of role play,lack of materials and lack of science in role play;In the process of role play,the problems existing in teachers’ guidance behaviors include: the phenomenon of“laissez-faire” in role play guided by novice teachers,the large proportion of guidance behavior of maintaining class’ s discipline and rules,the inappropriate guidance wayof novice teachers,and ineffective guidance accounting for large part of guidance effect;After the end of the role game,the problems of teachers’ guidance behavior include: novice teachers ignore the evaluation work after the end of the game,the evaluation is mainly based on teachers’ evaluation,and the evaluation method is single.The primary reasons for these problems are the lack of professional literacy of novice teachers,the ability to ignore children’s thematic creation,the lack of teaching and research activities on the theme of role play in kindergartens and the unreasonable allocation of time in the evaluation link.As far as these problems are concerned,this paper puts forward the countermeasures of preparing for the play before role play,improving teachers’ guidance ability in the process of role play,and guaranteeing the play evaluation link after role play,so as to provide reference experience for novice kindergarten teachers’ research on the guidance of role play.
