From the late Qing dynasty to the end of the20th century,preschool education has made great progress of taiyuan in this nearlya century. Both from kindergarten school size, school conditions andcourses, teachers all have made great achievements, theseachievements have the intimate relationship with the easing of earlychildhood education, cultural background, related laws andregulations in this century. The author uses the literature researchmethod and comparative research method, and so on. the author usethese method to systematically comb the development of Taiyuan`searly childhood education in20th century. And these developmentscan be divided into three stages of research. For the each stage, tosummarize the quality of preschool teacher、the curriculum content,the sources of funds, respectively and so on. In order to provide someuseful reference for the development of taiyuan’s early childhoodeducation.The content of this research is divided into three parts: The firstpart is the introduction part. The second part carried on the summary analysis for the development of Taiyuan`s early childhood educationin20th century.it has Mainly in three aspects:1, the late Qing dynastyto the before of liberation, the early childhood education`s bud: thelate Qing to the early republic period, the emergence of the babyfarm marks the beginning of early childhood education. Through theimperialist aggression, the early childhood education becomeswesternization. After the outbreak of the Anti-Japanese War, thekindergarten are almost closed;2、after the founding of new China, therecovery of early childhood education: until after the liberation ofTaiyuan`s preschool education is gradually restored, and also get theattention and support of the relevant departments. The number ofkindergartens had been increased, at the same time,it also have aqualitative leap;3、 after the reform and opening, taiyuan`skindergarten tends to steady basically. The third part summarized thecondition of development about Taiyuan`s early childhood educationin20th century. And conclude the development characteristics ofTaiyuan`s early childhood education in20th century, in order to drawlessons from the development of taiyuan`s early childhood educationin the future.
