Due to the geographical position, transportation, rural education development is relatively lagging city. In the process of rural urbanization, people’s demands for high quality education are also very urgent. A line of teachers are the leader of education teaching, and the quality of teachers in rural level’s further improving is the key to the construction of rural education. The educational research group activities mainly includes two parts, teaching and scientific research group is to cultivate the teachers’ platform, have certain professional and academic group activities is good platform of teacher professional development.This paper put forward countermeasures for the improvement of the educational research group activities from the perspective of promoting teachers’ professional development through research. First of all, find out the rural educational research group activities to promote the teacher professional development with development research and teacher professional development theory. Then find some county in Yunnan province two rural junior high school teachers’ professional development and the problems and reasons in the educational research group activities through the survey research method through questionnaire survey, observation and interview to make a survey two rural middle schools in Yunnan province. Then get some detailed information.The scientific nature of the educational research group activities in rural areas are the educational research group activities to strengthen, professional lead is insufficient, the management of the educational research group activities to strengthen treatment solutions to the problems,Then according to surveys and the reasons and combining the theory of education puts forward some countermeasures for perfecting the educational research group activities to promote the teacher professional development,create the educational research group activities as the carrier of teacher professional development way, Specific to bring into play the function of the educational research group leader to lead, standardize the educational research group plan and evaluation mechanism, perfecting the educational research group’s relationship with other departments in the school, pay attention to the educational research group culture construction, build the countryside junior middle school teachers’ professional development for the way of the educational research group activities, construction of learning and improve the function of promoting teachers’ professional development. The significance of this thesis is to expand and enrich rural teachers’ professional development research field, specifications and improve the educational research group activities and play the function of the educational research group to play the role of educational research group activities, promote the countryside junior middle school teachers’ professional development and provide the basis for education administration department policy. It will be advantageous for the balanced development of the education and education fairness. This thesis is also to reduce the gap between the rural education and urban education.
