Mathematics education as an important part of high school education, improve the students’ ability in mathematics is particularly important, observe the national regional test, involves the topic of operation is relatively more, explain mathematical operation ability is the key of the college entrance examination project, in the education shoulders the dual task of imparting knowledge and cultivating ability, this is an important content of quality education. Therefore, the author want to pass this study attempts to comprehensively understand the present situation and problems of the high school mathematics ability, and on this basis, make countermeasures to improve the students’ ability of operation.This research mainly divided into the following three parts: the definition of mathematical ability and the ability of mathematical definition; According to the test survey includes the students’ operation ability, according to the questionnaire and student interview summed up the student to carry on the operation when the type of error and the analysis of the causes of errors; Finally sorting out the relevant conclusions, and put forward effective solutions and teaching advice.Mainly adopts research methods: literature analysis method, the test method, questionnaire survey, and student interviews. 18 classes for jixi experimental middle school high student survey, according to the random sampling method to extract, use SPSS statistical analysis software for data processing and analysis. Through the analysis of the results of the survey, the following conclusions: students’ balanced development of the overall level of mathematical ability, on the whole math ability significant correlation with performance and whether students to participate in extra-curricular studies there was no significant difference.This article is divided into six chapters. The first chapter is introduction, mainly illustrates the main problem of this topic research background, research significance and research significance. The second chapter summarizes the domestic for mathematical ability, mathematical ability, operation ability characteristics and composition of research theory and research results. The third chapter is to investigate the preparation, this paper expounds the research purpose, research the basic theory frame, the research object, research methods and research process. The fourth chapter through a variety of research methods to study high student mathematical operation ability, analyze the problem solving process of the wrong type, on the test results of the study, combined with the questionnaire analysis and interview with students from objective and subjective factors analyzed influence the development of high student mathematics ability level.
