Research On The Internationalization Of Sports Academic Journals In China

In the 1990 s,the concept of journal being international has been put forward.Since then,many academic journals in China have started to become internationalized journal.In order to spread the latest scientific information in the first time,and to improve the journals as well,more and more journals have taken measures to realize the international in the manuscript, editor, language, reviewing etc.There are more than 50 kinds of sport academic journals in our country.They not only bear the responsible of disseminating frontier sports scientific information,but also greatly develop sport undertakings of our country.Nowadays,some sport academic journals made attempts,but due to various reasons, the process is relatively slow.In the year of 2012,the first English version of sport academic journal in China---Journal of Sport and Health Science started to publish publicly.After one and a half years, it has been included,as the first sport academic journal in China,by SCI and SSCI database at the same time.Through investigation and analysis of managing strategy of the Journal of Sport and Health Science,combining with the current situation of the development of Chinese sport academic journals,and the running experience of sport academic journals under the American Human Kinetics Press as well,this article tried to study managing characters of internationalized sport academic journals.This paper was divided into five parts:The first part is the preface,which introduced the purpose and significance of this research mainly.The second part is about the research status at home and abroad.This part emphatically point out that it is possible for the domestic sport academic journals to be international journal.The third part is about the research objects and methods.Through the method of literature,interview and case analysis,this paper analyzed the the Journal of Sport and Health Science deeply as an example.The forth part is the main chapter of this paper.It concluded managing characters and critical success factors of the Journal of Sport and Health Science.The last one is the conclusion and suggestion part.According to the research,this paper put forward suggestions to Chinese sport academic journals.This paper summed up seven characters of internationalized sport academic journals,including international goal,manuscript,editor,reviewing,language,typesetting,and publishing.At last,this paper put forward feasible suggestions for domestic sport academic journals.
