Poetry is a literary genre, which with the aid of image reflects social life and full of affection and distinct image. The affluent emotion is the basic feature of the content of the poem. Distinctive rhythm is the poem different from other literary style in the form of the fundamental characteristics.Since ancient times, China has the tradition of poetry teaching. From the sixth Century BC published the first poetry collection "the book of songs", the Warring States period Chu’s "The Songs of Chu”, Han Yuefu, highly prosperous Tang and song’s poem and Yuan Dynasty’s opera to the May 4th Movement emerged the modern poetry, which was thriving and prosperous. From this, you can witness China is a poetry prosperity of the country and the highly prosperous poetry will bring lasting and fulfilling the poem teaching for Chinese. Broad and profound ancient poetry in its long history, vast poetic realm, the rich connotation of the humanities, produced a great impact to the Han nationality, brought influence and aesthetic value of education to people.The new poetry is the product of social change in modern Chinese literature on modern poetry movement, was born in the May 4th New Culture. In The collision of Chinese and Western culture and social development in twentieth Century, the new poetry with a new idea will value orientation, spiritual core and emotion; new performance skills; new language paradigm, promotes the modernization of poetry, boosts social spiritual culture modernization; riches Chinese thought emotion experience, perfects the personality development, promotes the spiritual realm.The ancient poetry plays an indispensable role in people’s aesthetic and value education, however, the full of modern thought and spirit, modern poetry language, modern form of art and rooted in the national culture of the modern new poetry, is accompanied by the development of social modernization process, abundant modern humanistic spirit and scientific, profoundly reflects Chinese how to adjust its aesthetic quality, cultural quality, emotional quality and personality, in order to adapt to the modern society and cultural needs of the ecological and the modal truth.Unfortunately, a kind of aesthetic education category is despised by the high school Chinese teaching for a long time. Because of various reasons, people ignore new poetry teaching, the poetry teaching at the edge point. Facing this kind of situation, this article mainly from four parts: the research significance, the present situation of the teaching in high school Chinese new poetry, the new poetry aesthetic value of education, the problem of marginalization and the reason of poetry teaching,as well as improve the teaching and learning strategies of new poetry to discuss the new poetry in the schools "cold" situation,the value of raising people’s aesthetic taste in the background of Quality Education and improve the plight of new poetry. I hope it would be helpful to improve the development of new poetry and new poetry teaching.
