Learning burnout has always been the hot topic of researchers, this phenomenon has a negative effect on students’ body and mind. High school students face enormous pressure of the college entrance examination. In the process of learning, they have a bigger change physically and mentally. It may easily lead to grade-falling, being tired of study and physical or mental fatigue. Therefore, researching the phenomenon and reasons of high school students’ learning burnout can alleviate their learning burnout, it can make them study happily and actively and help them get through the period of high school smoothly.This paper surveys the students of Dawa Senior High School and analyses the present situation and reasons of their learning burnout, by which it concludes that the characteristics of their learning burnout and puts forward the strategies of alleviating this symptom. This study selects 528 students from a key high school in Panjin to carry on the questionnaire survey, and interviews 10 students. To find out the present situation and reasons about their learning burnout through the investigation and interview.By analyzing the present situation of learning burnout, the author makes the conclusion as follows: Firstly, high school students are at a certain degree of learning burnout, but this phenomenon is not serious. Secondly, from the aspect of gender, boys’ learning burnout level is higher than girls’. Thirdly, from the aspect of grade, in Exhaustion, the degree of second-year students is higher than that of first-year students; In Cynicism, third-year students is higher than that of second-year students and the degree of second-year students is higher than that of first-year students. Fourthly, in Exhaustion, the degree of the students who are the class cadres is higher than that of the students who are not the class cadres. In Efficacy, the degree of the students who are not the class cadres is lower than that of the students who are the class cadres. Fifthly, the students who get bad grades are in the highest level of students’ learning burnout than others. Sixthly, in Exhaustion and Cynicism, burnout level of the students from the town is higher than that of the students from the countryside.By analyzing the reasons of high school students’ learning burnout, we can find out the characteristics why the students feel burnout. Firstly, the school factors are the main reason of affecting the students’ learning burnout. It includes heavy academic burden, single extracurricular activities, unreasonable way of school management. Secondly, the teachers are the important factors that affect students’ learning burnout. It includes the quality of teachers and the relationship between teachers and students. Thirdly, the students’ factors are the inner factors which affect their learning burnout. It includes learning basis, learning interest and learning motivation, attributive style and coping styles. Fourthly, whether the classmates help them to learn or not influences learning burnout. Fifthly, family factors cannot be ignored. Family relationship, parenting style and learning environment at home influence students’ learning burnout.According to the above comparative analyses of the present situation and reasons, this paper puts forward the strategies to ease high school students’ learning burnout. Firstly, changing the educational concept, setting up the right concept of talent training. Secondly, improving teachers’ whole quality, cultivating students’ autonomous learning habit. Thirdly, enriching course content and type, reasonably arranging students’ workload. Fourthly, cultivating the students’ interest in learning, paying close attention to the development of students’ mental health. Fifthly, focusing on the learning situation of the students with learning difficulties, helping them build self-confidence. Sixthly, creating a harmonious family atmosphere and a good learning environment.
