In China, the first research associated with the teaching body language can be traced back to the 1980 s. Early studies were mainly some translations of foreign research results, mostly involving the concepts and classification of teaching body language. In recent years, researchs on teaching body language are steering to the importance, the principles of application and other aspects such as the relationship between teaching body language and students’ learning and so on. However, the evaluation study involved teaching body language is still rare. The main purpose of this evaluation study for the teaching body language is to explore an effective form of teaching body language, and sum up an effective evaluation system to evaluate teaching body language. This research is divided into the following main elements:Firstly, establish the evaluation index system of teaching body language. The process of building the index system applied maily through the literature method, observation method, interview method, Delphi method,survey method and some other methods. Evaluation system was finally include 4 primary dimensions and 11 secondary dimensions.Second, exploring the effective behavior of teaching body language. Baced on the theory of space, pedagogy, psychology and Kinesics, the author builded the effective forms of teaching body language after observing a large number of excellent teachers’ teaching records.After that, standing on the student-based point, the author modified and improved the effective forms of teaching body language referring to the results of student questionnaires, and regarded that as a basis of the evaluation criteria on teaching body language.Finally, developing an evaluation tool and testing reliability and validity of the evaluation system. Considering the idea of the combination of qualitative evaluation and quantitative evaluation, the author developed an assessment scale of teaching body language, and tested the validity of the evaluation system basing the collecting dates. The results showed that the observations of the evaluation system can explain 81.809% of the being evaluated object; Cranbach’s a coefficients of every dimension were among 0.681 and 0.855, the system overall Cranbach’s a coefficient is 0.907. Thus, the reliability and the validity of this evaluation system were both well, and it could be used in the work of evaluation on the teaching body language.
