The so-called effective reading, it refers to the language activities that readers with their own sound language which can effectively convey the information that the reading text contains. Not only the effective reading contributes to students’ sense of language ability, it also helps to improve students’ comprehensions; it promotes to develop the students’ thinking ability and also improve their aesthetic ability. Even though effective reading has a significant effect, because that there are relatively few related and referred cases and the lack of teacher’s instructional strategies, silent reading instead of reading aloud, reading lifeless, the narrow coverage of reading involved leads to the large otherness in students’ reading, the misunderstanding of "read thpassage aloud with affection" in curriculum standard, the full "sense of tone", teachers evaluation’s lack of therapeutic and instructive become the common problem of effective reading teaching implementation now. The implementation of effective reading needs an appropriate evaluation criteria, it should be "well documented". To combine with the general requirements of reading and the concept definition of effective reading in <The Chinese Curriculum Standard>, we can make an evaluation from four aspects and two dimensions which are teachers and students. Meanwhile excerpts of different teachers, different style of effective reading instruction implementation case, supplemented by demonstration.
