Mathematics is the concept, formula, proposition and other components of the knowledge system, which is the mathematical symbol abstract mathematical concepts, formulas,proposition, is an important part of mathematics, mathematics for students learning plays an important role in the foundation. High school math symbols in self-contained, including elements of the symbol, the relationship symbols,symbols and auxiliary operation symbols. Participate in educational practice for high school students during the observations and interviews found that the factors affecting high school mathematics learning are many, but the lack of understanding of mathematical symbols learning, memorizing and learning mathematics migration is caused by his own experience as a student and a long-term study the main reason for the difficulties. Therefore, the study of high school math symbols is very necessary,and I hope the problem found during research and teaching strategies proposed to provide facts and strategies with reference to the current teaching of mathematical symbols.In this study, literature review of relevant domestic and international basis, through the students, teacher interviews, the causes of the difficulties and teaching high school math symbols learning strategies were studied. The main research questions are: how the overall status quo(1)High school students learn mathematical symbols.(2) The performance of high school math symbols specific learning difficulties, what.What is the cause of these difficulties.(3) Improve the way high school students learn mathematical symbols have.Study found that students learning difficulties mathematical symbols are:(1)element symbol: ① understanding of symbols only stay on the surface; ② difficult to identify the same symbol meanings in different locations.(2) the relationship between symbols: ① difficult to understand the essence of the symbol; ② difficult to accurately determine the relationship between symbols.(3) Operators: ① difficult to understand the meaning of the operation symbol; ② complex arithmetic operations are weak; ③ difficult symbols proficient; ④ difficult to overcome "preconceived" mindset.(4) Auxiliary Symbol: ① focus only on the form, do not pay attention to nature. Comprehensive analysis, difficulty learning math symbols are the following: it is difficult to understand the essence and meaning of symbols, it is difficult to effectively process mathematical symbols, mathematical symbols difficult proficient. The main reasons for these difficulties are: thinking more single direction,the negative impact on the existing knowledge of the great new knowledge, lack of initiative, over-reliance on teachers.And causes difficulties for students learning mathematical symbols, it made the following teaching strategies a profound analysis of the meaning and essence of mathematical symbols to improve mathematical symbols; 2, focus on improving students ’computing power; 3, focusing on improving students’ autonomy.
