In recent years, public art as a special object of study for scholars increasingly concerned, whether abroad or in the country it belongs to a new research topic. Public Art in Europe after decades of practice so well developed public art. This article related to the British and American public art teaching philosophy and curriculum as a case analysis, which summarizes the current development of public art in Europe and America; Through these studies, we can understand the current teaching of basic overview of Europe, and to our country to the contrary, public art teaching subjects. A comparative study of public art-related courses from Britain and we can find the direction of development in the United States and Britain are practice-oriented experimental attempt and social research, in order to nurture in the teaching plan. At present, our public education system as a whole artistic disciplines at an early exploration and practice. Therefore, we need foreign art schools of public art courses related investigation, analysis and research, and macro understanding of our public art teaching activities in question. This paper mainly studies by European and American curriculum and teaching methods of public art, combined with their own situation, and cultural trends in domestic demand to explore the feasibility of developing a public art teaching, so that the public art teaching more perfect. Final elements and provide useful lessons for its own public art education for the local public art inspired teaching and trigger personal reflection on public art teaching standardized.
