College graduates are the hope to the future of a country, and also are a country’s extremely precious talent resources. Therefore, the employment of college graduates, is not only related to the survival and development of each student, but also relations with the country’s long period of stability and social stability and unity.Physical education major is one of the earliest key profession which had been established in the physical education department in China college. Through long-term development it has formed a certain characteristics and advantages, and has cultivated a large number of excellent domestic physical education teachers. With the implementation of "revitalization action plan" for the twenty-first Century education, the number of recruitment of students in Physical Education Speciality in universities and colleges in China continue to increase, coupled with the "two-way choice, the independent choosing profession" employment policy, the current physical education professional employment situation has been very serious. Therefore, the current universities shuold take their profession development combined with the current background of the times, explore the ideas and measures of physical education professional training objectives and educational reform. What’s more, the colleges should pay attention to and try to solve the probloms.This paper are using the research methods of literature, questionnaire survey method, mathematical statistics method, logical analysis, investigation of the Henan University from 2003 to the 2012 physical education graduates employment situation and during the period of school studying and working after the first-hand experience, the conclusion as follows:1.Due to the superposition of enrollment and other social factors in the past 10 years, graduates of physical education major meet the increasingly severe employment situation of graduates. In addition, the school pays attention to the students’ employment guidance to students’ employment level as the employment pressure is more and more big,2. The main factors affecting the employment are the comprehensive quality of graduate student and the family social relations which occupies an important position in the graduate’s employment. But the influence of social relations becomes lower and the class solidification problem is not prominent. In fact, the increasing rural students edeged to high level academic has sprinted higher success.3. Due to the changes of employment situation and employment concept, physical education graduates employment and professional mismatch phenomenon will exist for a long time. Consequently, it is imperative for the education concept and teaching reform.4. The training unit shall take effective measures to strengthen the cultivation of students’ability, such as the "sports technical level", "expert", "comprehensive ability" which are the most important effective factors of physical education graduates employment.5. Graduate employed in the system in higher stability, graduates worked out of the system has a high level of liquidity, whose stress is larger. The graduates who worked in universities commonly have the highly education. The pressure of work and life is the power to promote the personal progress. The suggestions are as followed:1. Physical education graduates should strive themselves to perfection and improvement and develop their ability of grasping the professional knowledge, as far as possible to let oneself become specialized sports talents, training and improve their overall quality, and actively change their concept of employment, conscientiously do a good job of career planning.2. Set the adjustment and optimization of curriculum, prolong the course learning time, ensure the specially selected technology learning time in the 3 year or more; extended major minor courses, ensure that they master the multi skill; strengthen the professional skills (such as the referee, social sports guidance and teaching ability training) training.3. The universities should take several policys, such as improving their methods of work of employment guidance center, strengthening their propaganda, taking practical and effective measures to pave the way for the employment of graduates. The school should increase the employment guidance work personnel and capital investment, and set up the department of two level of employment guidance service system. The school and the institute should establish two level of construction of employment information platform open between each other, complement each other, provide excellent service for graduates employment information.4. The government should not only reinforce the support for graduates work in the small and medium-sized city, county, and township, but also encourage physical education major graduates to stay in the grassroots level in practice. Furthermore, they need strengthen the recruitment behavior supervision of employers and ensure to provide a fair, impartial, open competition platform for the majority of graduates.
